12/16/09 Community Meeting Presentation

The City of Alexandria is estimating a budget shortfall of approximately $43 million in Fiscal Year 2011.  The Alexandria City Council expects that there will be substantial City service reductions in the proposed FY2011 budget and that these reductions may need to be continued for the foreseeable future.  The City of Alexandria’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has informed ATC that it is projecting reductions in transit subsidies for DASH of approximately $600,000.

ATC is in the process of identifying service cuts and fare options to meet the potential subsidy reduction.  A public hearing on ATC's 2011 Transit Development Program (TDP) and FY2011 Budget will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at 5:30 PM in the City Council Work Room, Room 2410, City Hall, 310 King Street.
