1.How do I find my bus stop ID?

In the coming weeks, DASH personnel will be adding stop ID decals to all our bus stop signs.  There are over 600 of them, so it’s a big job!

Until then, you can find real-time predictions and stop IDs by using the drop-down selection boxes on the “Estimated Arrival Times” page. Once you choose a Route, Direction, and Bus Stop, the stop ID box at the top will be filled in for you.

Also, you can find stop ID on “Bus Location Map” page.  Simply select the route you want and hover over the point on the map.  You will see the bus stop number in the box that pops up.

Please note that our stop ID is usually the same as the ID on the Metrobus sign.

2.Why can’t I find my bus stop?

On Estimated Arrival Times page, bus stops are listed in alphabetical order - not in route sequence order

Still can’t find your stop? Look up “Bus Location Map

Since this is a preview version of DASH Tracker, there is a possibility that some technical issues might occur.

Please contact us and we will fix it as soon as possible.

3.Why DASH Tracker is not mobile-friendly?

Currently, we are working on the mobile interface and it is going to be released soon! Alternatively, you may choose to use a Text-only version.

4.Why DASH Tracker is not on the Third-Party apps?

Once our feed becomes available, we will reach out to the individual app developers to add DASH Tracker to their systems. Please note that we don’t have a control on any Third-Party apps.

5.Why there is no prediction for my bus?

When you notice a significant gap in service, it could be a sign of missing predictions. The system is designed to not giving predictions when the bus goes on a detour, faces on-board equipment failure, breaks down, and etc.bAs soon as the problem is resolved, the information will become available.

6.It’s been “X” minutes and my bus still isn’t here?

Predicting the future is tricky. The system can adjust itself to accommodate routine delays (for example, due to typical rush hour traffic), but has a harder time with changing circumstances.

A common story:While the bus driver is assisting a passenger who gets on a wrong bus, the system can’t calculate for the lost time. The predictions are mainly based on current and historic conditions.

7.On the Estimated Arrival Times page, I chose AT__.  Why am I seeing predictions for all these other routes?

By default, the Estimated Arrival Times feature shows you every bus that serves the stop you has selected. For example, if you are going from King & Columbus St to King St Metro, you can take the AT2, AT7, AT8, or the King St Trolley. To take a particular route? Look for the checkbox right underneath the route selection drop down, “Show all vehicles for this stop”, and un-check it.  On the text-only version, click the link that says “Only show vehicles for selected route”.

8.Do I need to sign-up?

No, you don’t. However, we highly recommend you to sign-up in order to receive our upcoming alerts service such as delays, detours, and any changes to the route(s) you have selected.
