• King St Station Access Improvement Project
    Fall 2018

    This fall, the City of Alexandria and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) will begin construction on the King Street-Old Town Metrorail Station Access Improvement Project. While the Project will bring many benefits to transit users, there will be significant construction impacts through mid-2020.  

  • Alexandria Transit Vision Plan
    Fall 2018

    The City of Alexandria, DASH and other regional transit partners are teaming up to develop a new vision for the Alexandria Transit network. The Alexandria Transit Vision (ATV) Plan will redraw the city’s bus network to better serve current/future transit demand, and to better reflect community priorities for transit service.  The ATV Plan will involve three rounds of public outreach, withthe first round beginning in September/October 2018.  The first round of outreach is especially critical, as it will help the project team define community transit priorities and ATV Plan objectives.

  • Metrorail Platform Reconstruction Project
    Summer 2019

    Beginning next year, Metro is planning to demolish and rebuild the station platforms at Braddock Road, King Street and Eisenhower Avenue stations, resulting in a shutdown of rail service south of Reagan National Airport during the summer of 2019
