While the CDC has advised that fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear a mask for most activities, masks are still required by federal mandate on public transportation until further notice.
On March 18, join us in celebrating our hard-working bus drivers!
The very first DASH buses rolled out onto the streets of Alexandria on March 11, 1984 with just 30 employees and 17 buses. In the first year of operation, the agency served less than a million riders and covered more than 500,000 miles.
In accordance with federal law, all passengers are required to wear a face mask that covers both the nose and mouth while awaiting, boarding, traveling on or disembarking any DASH bus to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Effective Monday, February 8, passengers without a mask will not be permitted on any DASH bus.
