We are dedicated to creating and maintaining a work environment that is safe for everyone within our facility and onboard our buses. Hardworking employees on our Operations, Maintenance, Human Resources and Safety & Security Teams enable us to maintain a facility, fleet and workforce that help us realize that goal every day. We understand that our differences make us a better organization, so we embrace diversity and inclusion in our workforce. In addition to the policies and procedures that help keep our employees and passengers safe within our facility and onboard our buses, our Diverse, Safe and Inclusive Committee works to foster a work environment and employee culture that celebrates our vibrant and diverse DASH family.
Leading the Way with Innovation
In 2020, DASH became the first public bus transit agency in Northern Virginia to put 100% electric zero-emissions buses (ZEBs) into regular service. Before the end of 2021, electric buses made up more than 10% of DASH’s fleet. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of this new and innovative change. DASH employees help bring the future of clean transit technology to Northern Virginia and build a cleaner, greener and brighter future. DASH employees have opportunities to work with industry-leading technology every day, from sustainable buses to Transit Signal Priority (TSP) technology.
