The West End Alexandria Redevelopment Project is now officially underway. As part of this long-term initiative, Phase 1 of the brand-new West Alexandria Transit Center, located on Hecht Avenue, will officially open to the public on November 2.
With the launch of this new center, the temporary Landmark Transit Center will permanently close, and all DASH and Metrobus services will be rerouted to operate through the West Alexandria Transit Center starting November 2. Riders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the bus bay relocation maps and materials below.

The new West Alexandria Transit Center is located on the old Landmark Mall property on a new road called Hecht Ave, located parallel to Duke St. On Hecht Ave, the transit center is between Verve St and Alex Way. Pedestrians can access the West Alexandria Transit Center from Duke St via Alex Way, or from N Van Dorn St via Verve St.
Once at the new transit center, passengers may board DASH Lines 30, 32, and 35, as well as Metrobus routes A25, A28, F23, and F24 at the following locations:


In the coming weeks, additional enhancements will be made to further improve the rider experience. Planned upgrades include the installation of new bus shelters, improved signage, and other transit amenities to better serve the community.
