About the Board of Directors

The Board oversees the general governance and strategic direction of the Alexandria Transit Company (DASH). As a not-for-profit public service corporation, DASH connects residents, students, families, commuters, and visitors to destinations throughout the city and region, helping make Alexandria a more sustainable and accessible community.

Board members help ensure that DASH provides safe, reliable, convenient, comfortable, and courteous service while maintaining the efficient and responsible use of resources. The Board works in partnership with the City of Alexandria, the DASH General Manager & CEO, and other local and regional transportation agencies to guide long-term planning, service improvements, and fiscal oversight.
